I am modelling an open excavation in PLAXIS. In some models, I found a different variation of Displacement with Mstage & Msf in plastic and stability analysis respectively. I am attaching the corresponding figures here. If the graph in plastic analysis is observed, displacement is initially increasing and is again reducing w.r.t to Mstage. In the stability analysis, even if Msf has not reached a constant value, stage is running successfully. After seeing this variation, I don't know if I can be sure with the results. Suggestions would be helpful.

Meanwhile I used PLAXIS 8.6 (as I informed myself, the numerical methods aren't really differente between versions of PLAXIS 2D), I had some problems like yours. I don't have really a stable structure during the Phi-c reduction, so I changed some parameters, like anchors, embedded length or improve the soil in excavations. Usually change the embedded length improve really the stability of excavations.
