I am working on a simulation study on organic perovskite solar cells using the SILVACO ATLAS software, investigating the effect of hole and electron mobility of the perovskite layer on the performance of the perovskite solar cell and finding that increasing electron and hole mobility decrease the open circuit voltage Voc. but I don't understand why??
Although increasing the mobility substantially improves the short-circuit current, a simultaneous decrease in the open-circuit voltage is observed, eventually inducing efficiency roll-off in the high-mobility regime. The increased bending of potential profiles (electrode regions) and decreased electric field (central region) due to carrier diffusion were found to be the key mechanisms behind this behavior.

Can you please share the energy band profile for high and low mobility to get an appropriate answer?
It could be due to a reduction in internal power depletion and destabilized electric field in the depletion region.
Increasing of hole and electron mobility of perovskite layer couse to increase saturation current (dark current) of solar cell. So, we know that open circuit current has inversly relationship with saturation current.
