Dear Friends,

hi,

I have a two-dimensional two-phase problem in which I have a cylindrical bubble/drop (in 2D) in a computational domain. No force affects the bubble (drop), no gravity, no free stream, nothing! except for the surface tension. In this case when I run my case nothing should happen as time goes and the bubble (drop) should be at exactly the same position as it was at t = 0s, but this does not happen. After a while the bubble (drop) starts to move to an arbitrary position. I am using VOF method to deal with this two phase problem. Does anybody know, why this movement of bubble (drop) happens when there is nothing to make it move? And how to prevent it?

Thanks

Hamid
