It seems to me the problems, which you discusses, have been solved in my co-authored paper "On the Nuclear Coupling of Proton and Electron". The main role play carriers of the interaction between conventional particles, which in my works have been named "inertons".

If in your question refer to our results and project on Research Gate, I can state that we do not limit ourselves to curvature.
Our results are more general but releated to the twofold part of an interaction both the Lorentz invariant and the Lorentz
violated, in this latter case we introduce a general metric but energy dependent in order to account the phenomenology
of the interaction. Therefore the picture of an interaction is no longer connected to the quantum field (thery) model but to the metrics
in a five dimensional representatation : energy, space time. In this framework curvature, of any kind, is only a particular case of
deformation of the minkowskian flat space time and the carriers or propagators, both real or virtual, loose their fundamental role
since the potential is "de facto" (in reality) substituted by the metric. If you look for curvature it exists in a deformed space time (DST)
but in a general sense within the Generalize Lagrange Space connected to DST as described in the nice works and articles by Prof. Roberto Mignani and co-workers.
