Women look for love and/or security. Often they had no choice of partner in the past. Women were viewed as breeding machines. Men tend to pay a woman's way when he is getting the regular sex he needs. Marriage is an implicit contract where a man pays and a woman offers regular sex.
Women choose marriage for a variety of fundamental reasons supported by significant statistical data. According to recent studies, 87% of women cite the desire to start a family as one of the main reasons for getting married. This motivation is based on the search for emotional stability and the aspiration to raise children in a solid and committed family environment. Additionally, 72% of women believe that marriage provides economic and legal security, taking advantage of inherent benefits such as inheritance rights, access to health insurance and other financial aspects that are strengthened by married marital status.
Another important factor is love and companionship, highlighted by 94% of women surveyed as a central reason for getting married. This feeling of emotional connection and sharing of life experiences is essential in making marital decisions. Likewise, it is evident that 63% of women feel social or cultural pressure to marry, which reflects the influence of social norms and expectations on the choice to marry.
These data demonstrate that women value marriage as a means to achieve personal and social goals, combining emotional, family, economic and cultural aspects in their decision to marry.
Thank you Mitzi for your comment! Kinsey also concluded decades ago that women marry to establish a loving and supportive relationship that allows them to raise a family. But men tend to marry to obtain a regular sexual outlet. This is a fundamental difference between the sexes. Men look for sex. Women look for a relationship - affection and companionship. I wish more women would tell men this instead of allowing men to imply that women seek relationships in order to enjoy sexual pleasure as men do.
