A single phase DAB is simulated as an open loop system. Waveforms are generated by single phase shift. A voltage source is connected at the output of low voltage terminal simulated as a battery. The inductor current pattern is matching with that shown in literature, but the output current has tremendous ripple from positive to negative values. But considering SPS technique the switching signals were easily generated. So where is it going wrong?
You may check the modulation index and keep it less than 1. Also you may check the dc bus capacitor, increase the capacitance and use some initial voltage.
Yes, you are right. A small filter capacitor and inductor in the output helped it fine.
You may want to check the voltage ratio between output and input. When it is deviates significantly from unity and the phase shift is small at the same time, output current consists of a high ripple that may change between positive and negative.
Yes, that is an observation I found too. For high turns ratio, this phenomenon is predominant.
