Why do physicists, including the likes of Gerardus ‘t Hooft, Nobel Laureate for physics, ignore, or fail to understand, (or both), the irrefutable fact that Planck’s proof of Kirchhoff’s false Law of Thermal Emission is false?
Robert Gustav Kirchhoff formulated his Law of Thermal Emission in 1859, without any experimental justification. He adduced two theoretical proofs of his assumed law. His first proof failed because he did not account for the differences in surface reflection of different materials. His second proof failed because he allowed his cavity to fall out of thermal equilibrium according to the order in which operations were performed. Einstein proposed a theoretical proof with his ‘Einstein coefficients’, but in so doing he invoked the energy density of a Wien radiation field, and so it also failed. Physics relies only upon Planck’s theoretical proof of Kirchhoff’s Law for that is what led Planck to his equation for thermal emission and his claim for universality and ‘natural units’. However, Planck’s proof of Kirchhoff’s Law is demonstrably false owing to numerous violations of the physics of optics and thermal radiation.
