What I fail to understand that why research gate score is so tricky and unfortunately the confusion and mysterious behavior of RG score still remains at large. What I have seen in many profiles that their number of citations has absolutely NO impact on their RG Score (including mine). so what's the point of measuring research impact score if there citations - which seems to be the main indicator and source of measuring any research's quality and impact, has no influence or effect on their research score.

It does have an impact but the ResearchGate (RG) is not integrated with other databases and websites to fetch the citation count related to the papers of each individual.I have observed that it is only considering citations of those users who are present within the platform of RG. It's like if both A and B are present on RG, A cites two papers of B but A only uploads one paper on its profile, B will only get notification of 1 citation but not 2. To overcome this issue, they have allowed you to give manual references or sources of papers who has cited your paper, they will send a request to author to confirm the same, if the author confirms that s/he has cited your paper, then only your citation will be counted :D.
May be they are working on it.
