Advance in technology does not means advance in social behavior, I think only few countries have reach this level, and they are not the most advanced in spacial technology, as you are mentioning. The most advanced countries, like USA, Rusia, China, are not examples of the most socially advanced countries.
This happens because being focus in technology is not the same as being focus in social or environmental advances.
Perhaps you should try to correlate these situations and you may get an interesting answer.

Dear Colleagues, after multi-factorial researches, I have my original opinion on this very significant issue:
1) Space successes are so substantial, that world poverty should not exist, but the absence of a transparent international structure of strong professional protection of effective honest competition retains the basis for the emergence of various "socialist" dictatorships and monopolies;
2) Mass riots have become frequent, even in a highly developed Europe. The situation is similar to the era of the 30s of the “Great Depression” of the last century, but in the space age of mass weapons, we should not allow a ruinous war. And in this case, an International antitrust structure is needed;
3) In the interests of the future world, it is necessary that traditionally the wisest manufacturers of advanced technologies will be stronger and will not suffer from dishonest dictatorships;
4) The international antitrust structure should be staffed with personnel who have experience in local, regional and macroeconomic structures and are well aware of problems at all levels. Without this, international mechanisms are not effective;
5) The international antitrust framework should also protect effective proportions between the private and public sectors. Our observations by our questionnaire proved, that it is very-very significant.
