I find RG behaving strangely, the weekly read count of one of my popular papers is constant for past several weeks. What I find unusual that though the number of reads are shown but the are not credited to that particular paper, can someone explain. Further, my total reads count when was nearing 1,00,000, RG arbitrarily reduced it to 86 K, I could not understand the reason. If some friends could explain it, I would be grateful. Thank you
It might be that the particular paper was not read by anyone for several weeks. The later case happened for me too. A few weeks back my reads all of a sudden jumped from 5000+ to 6000+ just in a week though total read of that week was showing to be 80+ . After two weeks or so it again reverted back to 5000+. I FELT SO SORRY!
That is not the case every week this paper is reported as most read, still it's weekly reads are not being added.
Then it must be due to fault in the automated calculating system.
