Your own article would suggest that the fractional charge is quite literally a fraction of the total charge (including the stuff that does not interact with our reference frame of reality). Does that make sense? Maybe magnitude would make more sense than charge.

I feel it is important that you have a good conceptual understanding of our theoretical model before you attempt editing.
