Thanks a lot for your fully humanitarian question, I advice to contact our beloved colleague "Frieda Mah", really I am not specialist in such medical topics, so I have no idea.
I am preparing to contribute to research on surgery "prehabilitation" initiated by a nursing colleague. She was recently surprised by my question "How are you including spirituality?" She said "That hadn't occurred to me!" (Given my intentional pre-surgery guided imagery work with pre-op patients--giving them messages of already participating in their healing--and intending the outcomes they want--I was surprised, myself, that "prehabilitation" might not include healing imagery!) Before that conversation, I had never heard the term "prehabilitation". I find the word SO fitting to what I hope to accomplish in my pre-op work with patients, and I am excited by the potential to research how guided imagery could impact post-op healing. I welcome connections with others interested in guided imagery for pain management and healing.
