Analyzing C1s peak after argon ion etching i find peak shape of C1s changes and another peak appear, so which peak i consider for reference to calibrate and shifting of other peak ,1st peak at BE 282.63ev and 2nd peak at BE 284.83ev.
Where is carbon from in the alloy? If it is introduced during the preparation of the material, the peak at 282.63 eV could be assigned to carbon from carbides. Such a structure can also be created from carbon and metal atoms by argon ion bombardment. For reference, you should use the peak at 284.83 eV (C–C and C–H bonds).
Noise on your spectra indicate a weak signal and hence low concentration of carbon. Have you estimated concentrations of elements in your samples?
