I prefer the e-learning flex as it affords the students the opportunity to learn at their own convenience, which takes some of the stress off, especially when having work and family commitments along with studies. I have found that even their discussion responses are more in-depth and on target with the literature. One online activity that has been a huge success is the Asynchronous Team Debate on an appropriate course topic. The attached links provide a insight into new text that includes these debates and preliminary research on flexible learning environments and supporting theories.
