Uppsala university and Lund university in Sweden are very well equipped. They do have BET analyses equipment and if you are interested in porosity measurements, either one is doing that.
in Linköping university it is possible to do SEM measurements. In Linnaeus university in Kalmar, they do DLS experiments.
There are so many different technologies depending on what parameters you want to understand. Is it mechanical, chemical composition, contaminates or functionality?
It is not only about having a technology, depending on what you are after different "operators" will most likely be good on different things.
Since Linnaeus university in Kalmar is mentioned above I can also add that they are good at characterizing the functionality of polymeric surfaces using for instance QCM technology
Even if your work is based on plane surface maybe spectroscopic ellipsometry (and for microstrctured surfaces imaging ellipsometry) is a good method to use. We are using a EP4 System to characterize our polymerfilms (swelling, ph-dependency).
