First question. Do you have a GFC column? If not you need to purchase one. Second question. Is your polymer cationic? If so is your column cationic? If not you are far better off purchasing one than trying to eliminate the problems. There are also issues involving the organic solvents added to the eluent. Some can tolerate ACN, others cannot. Some have limitations as to what percentage of the eluent can be an organic solvent.
