What is the study of movement - regular walking, running, jumping, something else? Is the importance of size and mobility of sensors? If anything is known about the planned recording system?
Each group of sensor (piezo, resistive, capacitive) has its advantages and disadvantages and can be comparable accuracy; it depends on the dimensions of the sensors, and also depends on the range of measured values of G. Tell us more please.
The movements studied are walking, running, stair climbing, swimming, and riding a bicycle mainly. The range I want to measure is between +-16g, and I have some ideas os experiments in which I need quite a good accuracy.
I hope this helps, sorry for being so short with my previews question, I just wanted to be straight
For such a measurement range (16G) MEMS sensors (capacitive) rather fall off, so you can choose from piezo - but max sensivity - about 100mV/g and typical electric noise 0.1mg. Perhaps the solution is to use two sensors with different ranges of work. You can also think about analyzing movies - filmed markers on the human body.
More less is the idea, to analyze particular places in the human body. The sensitivity sounds good for the idea I have in mind. Thanks very much for the tip Pawel¡
