I want to simulate a vehicle with 3 or 4 dof -which toolbox should I use? Later I want to simulate the vehicle model with controller to add features like obstacle detection or lane keeping--which toolbox I should use for it? Can I do it with a single toolbox or I have to use different?
20SIM can help you to achieve desired design. It is user friendly and good tool to model control systems and mechatrlnics devices.

Sharmin - you can search the Mathworks site File exchange - I'm pretty sure there is a simple vehicle dynamics model available. In any case putting together a "bicycle" type model for "linear handling regime" motion on a planar surface is fairly straightforward.
More complex is the modelling of the environment that you want the vehicle to interact with - and the signals that would be provided by environmental sensors on the vehicle.
Expensive and specialized simulation models are available for this, for the automotive industry, from the likes of TASS (Prescan) and IPG Carmaker.
You might also look at VIRES Virtual Test Drive (VTD). It provides interfaces for different other tools.
Thank you gianni...i am very grateful that u shared the paper but in my project i need to focus on the control and design part rather than mechanical and electrical part...i need to model only mathematical part of the vehcile then add some sensor to control the vehicle and sensors behaivor

You may use SimDriveline to develop the vehicle dynamics model and controller in Simulink/Stateflow. Its all depends on the details you want to add in the vehicle model and that would depends on what you want to control. There is a tool to bring in traffic conditioins/obstacles/road etc in your model ( I think it is by dspace).
