14 January 2020 1 2K Report

Currently, government has used Line transect survey and King's Method for population estimate for three decades. There are two protected areas, called Chatthin and Shwesettw Wildlife Sanctuaries, in which terrains are more or less plain. Vegetation cover especially undergrowth is clear supporting high detection probability. Even though I have some experience in camera trap survey, occupancy survey related to tiger and prey, I've zero experience in survey for Eld's deer which is endangered and endemic to Myanmar.

Currently, they prefer the most reliable method for survey and data analysis for their endemic species. Please recommend and share me your invaluable experience with example and references. Thanks in deed advance!

Sincerely,

Hla Naing
