Generally there is list of organic solvent. I tried few, they can dissolve salts also partially with the organic compounds but I am looking for a solvent which does not dissolve salts and will be specific for organic compounds. If you know any please write it with details. thank you
Dry ethanol gives good results as a rule of thumb, but is not compatible with some salts, acetone is a popular choice (I presume you mean extraction from dry media). If you could specify what salts you would like to remove and/or functional groups on your compound, the answer would be easier to find.
Is your compound neutral, whcih functional groups (see above)....? the salts are inorganic or organic based? So without knowing that, I just can suggest unpolar solvents like Diethylether or hexane, maybe toluene....or maybe mixtures will work.... like solving everything in a polar solvent and try to precipitate the salts by chanching the polarity via adding portions of unpolar solvents....
You should specify the polarity of your natural compounds, and which kind of salts you have in the mixture. I agree with the two above said responses.
This also can be managed from the salt side. I had a sequence where every new compound stayed in the water layer. If I needed a basic reagent, this meant salts. I found that using the potassium salt version of the reagent allowed me to wash away all other organics, acidify with HCl, evaporate to dryness and elute the compound with ethanol, taking advantage of the much lower solubility of KCl in ethanol than NaCl.
use EtOH-Ether or Isopropanol-Ether, or Acetonitrile-Ether for precipitation, good luck
Perfluorohexane (or other perfluorinated compounds) at elevated temperature is best.
Sometimes CS2 (carbon disulfide) work well.
Hydrocarbons (like hexane) dissolve organic salts in order of tens/hundreds molar ppm
