I am preparing encapsulated PCMs having silica shells and paraffin wax as a core using the sol-gel method.
Some paraffin wax remains unencapsulated during the encapsulation procedure. I want to get rid of this unencapsulated paraffin wax without damaging the silica shell.
Dear Muhammad Ghufran, according to the free patent ( see 1st link below), a mixture of acetone and kerosene is the best to dissolve paraffin wax. The other links are for solvents used in the extraction and separation. My Regards
