Wikipedia says that a paradigm is "a set of practices that define a scientific discipline at any particular period of time" and that "competing paradigms are frequently competing accounts of reality which cannot be coherently reconciled". So in the field of highway geometric design, which paradigm (~ as in "set of highway design standards") is correct - the German, the Australian, the Norwegian (or another one) - and if one is correct, are all the others wrong?
