I remember coming across a discussion where the point was made that the control statements from the classic (Botvinick & Cohen, 1998) questionnaire might be sensitive to the Rubber Hand Illusion as well. The high coherence of Longo et al.s (2008) embodiment component seems to support this idea. Can somebody point me to an article that discusses which statements should be used as indicator of the subjective strength of the illusion and which should serve as control statements (e.g. for participants' suggestibility)? I remember reading about it but the article's main topic was something else and I cannot for the life of me find it right now.
