You want to choose a pair of temperature sensors to measure the temperature of an amplifier. One pair of sensors is unbiased with noise variance 5 [deg C]^2, and the noise is 50% correlated. The other pair is also unbiased with noise variances of 6 and 10 [deg C]^2, but the noise is uncorrelated. Which pair would you use and why?
