In any extracting method you should be careful about pre-analytical error which lead to false negative results. Oxytocin is a labile polypeptide. There are several methods for your purpose such as, extraction, precipitation, ultrafiltration, differential soluiblization, ...but I suggest you immunoseparation, which is easy, fast and specific for this purpose especially for oxytocin. You need Anti Oxytocin and a microplate, after coating, blocking, you can add your sample, incubate, wash,...finally with changing binding condition, separate Oxytocin from the antibody.
