During CO2 adsorption onto activated carbons, more than 60% adsorption happened within the first few seconds. There are many reasons for the fast adsorption rate (kinetic), pore width, surface area, molecular size, CO2 pressure etc. For the low-pressure gas, many models fitted well with the experimental data.

It seems to me that CO2 adsorption onto substrate is rapid and chemisorption occurs. Therefore, no kinetic model is applicable for such adsorption.

Thank you Tahmid Rupam for your comment and reference. Thank you @Md. Aminul Islam for your comment. Actually adsorption potential indicates there is physisorption only, we are not sure if there is any chemisorption occurs.
