You could consider reading the edited volume by Morse et al. (2021) for a succinct overview of grounded theory research methods. Here is the full citation.

It would be helpful for you to read about the history of the development of Grounded Theory. The original work was done by Glaser and Strauss and described in their book, The Discovery of Grounded Theory: Strategies for qualitative Research (1967). The two authors split in the 1970s with divergent viewpoints about Grounded Theory. Strauss stayed in the academic world and wrote several books about Grounded theory with Juliet Corbin from the theoretical perspective of symbolic interactionism. Glaser wrote less, and others picked up his views. So the Strauss and Corbin books show similarities but with development of the core ideas.
Here's an article with more specifics about the development of Grounded Theory. It's entitled Grounded Theory Research: A design framework for novice researchers. Article Grounded theory research: A design framework for novice researchers
