Now I am working in MySQL for my project. I have enrolled in MongoDB course this week the course starts.I read that MySQL also supports NoSQL and bigdata. I am little confused. Please suggest me what are things that I have to learn for big data. Please suggest me books also. I have books for both MySQL and MongoDB also.
I would highly recommend you learn about Distributed File Systems like Hadoop and the environment that it provides. A course on Udacity for Intro to Hadoop and Map Reduce helps a lot in understanding basic concepts. Dr. Gautam's class on Coursera for Web Intelligence and Big Data is also a great resource.

You can also choose specific topic to learn, example Data Mining(4 new courses are coming up on Coursera this February). Another tool Apache provides is the Spark, that supports in memory operations for distributed computations.

Well, I support Anish recomendations about learning Hadoop, Map Reduce and Spark as tools that will help you to deal with Big Data. But software tools are just part of this topic of the Data Science área, the Data Science Specialization at Coursera has a series of courses that will help you to better undertand how to deal with data. Now, the topic is too big and there are a lot of books and articles about it; if you don't want to get loose maybe you need to start having a clear idea and an objective which needs the use of big data to be obtained, you have mentioned that you have a Project using MySQL and MongoDB, as I said those are just some tools that you can use, but the important thing is what you want to obtain, then you will select the appropiate software tools and methodologies, depending of your goals, the kind of big data source that you're going to analyze, your approach, etc. If you put some information about your goals, the kind of information that you want to obtain (sentiment analysis, discovery of patterns, statistical beahivours, real time information, etc.), and from which kind of sources (electronic sensors, social data, electronic publications, electronic transactions, etc.); maybe I could give you more acurate answers.
