For our new project, we need to analyse Thermal Infrared satellite imagery of a specific area and the temporal resolution of image acquisition is quite important for an accurate study. Nonetheless, the available temporal resolution of the thermal images accessible by the Landsat satellite is not applicable for our project (around every 16 days). The minimum temporal resolution required for our project is around 2 hours.

I believe the best available choice for you is the MODIS thermal imagery. Mostly, You can find images for day and night over your area. You can decrease the interval time between images by integrating MODIS-Terra with MODIS-Aqua. The main disadvantage of these images is their spatial resolution, which is 1 km.

What is your spatial resolution requirement? If lower spatial resolution is okay, you might be able to use a stationary satellite such as GOES. You may need to consider paid satellite services, like Earth Observing System or SPOT, or a combination of satellite products.
You need to consider both spatial and spatial resolution. If you do not need high spatial resolution then you can obtain data from meteorological satellites since their temporal frequency is high.
MODIS imagery is readily available and easy to use, but if you need high spatial resolution then you may have to consider other imagery. As already mentioned, SPOT could be one alternative. Sentinel-2 has high spatial resolution and a 13 channel multi-spectal imager, which could possibly be an option as well.
