I'm extracting Al and Fe from soil minerals with Na pyrophosphate, the oxalate method, and citrite-dithionite. The methods call for a 12,000 to 15,000 rpm centrifuge which I don't have so the alternative is to use a flocculant. The method suggest superfloc but I can't find it anywhere. The only flocculant available at fisher is alum which contains aluminum and, therefore, is not suited for these extractions. Does anybody have experience with these methods? If so, it would be great if people could share what flocculant they used and where you got it?
