There is a company named Simufact, which had won an international competition created by the five deustcher automotive companies. The objective was to develop a software for improve the welding secuence method to reduce the distortion of the part.

Welding sequence is one of the major cause of distortion and this cause is optimized by many softwares but I want to study on all causes of distortion in RSW process. This company only use from a software to calibrate or optimize welding sequence and don't explain any cause of distortion in steel sheets.

I think that type of material sheet, thickness, heat quantity, tempertature, shape of part.

For me is necessary to make experimental testing conducted by DOE (Design of Experiments).

 I should simulate these factors and study of results. A sensivity analysis should be performed before simulation.

Resistance Spot Welding process  the material characteristics, thickness, the welding spot  dimensions and the value of current flow are the cause of distortion.
