I noticed for instance that the number of citations indicated in RG does not correspond with the number of citations indicated in other web-sites (e.g. ISI Web of Knowledge, Google Scholar). Are these RG citations used to calculate the RG score? Probably not
Have you tried to ask to CONTACT US? Actually it only bothers me if I know this is not being fair. That is, if we are on vacation or too much involved in a research or family issue and we are penalized with scores being subtracted from us. Other than that, it is a live community which allow us to exchange ideas with people from all over the world, 24 hours a day, all days of the week. Of course I am happy when my scores go up, but every day I care less for that reference. I am more concerned to see that new friendship is being done and I can learn a lot more from these new friends. I also believe that this true for most of us and for you too.
Thank you for your answer. I have asked CONTACT US, but they gave me a link to their website https://www.researchgate.net/publicprofile.RGScoreFAQ.html
So I'm trying to learn more about this topic from our community
I think this service is wonderful. If they could construct it with us, it would be so much better. I don't know what takes to make a RG. It shall not be easy, but they have to try to understand that this community has its own identity and new requirements are being raised by the members. Besides more and more we are giving the importance they wanted us to give to RG. As I said in another comment that when an idea grows to appoint we once desired it to be, we lose complete control of it. So, they should decide to have fun with us. We changing or trying to change the world with our ideas and they would changing RG with theirs.
