I am simulating and monitoring the temperature in some existing buildings of beginning XX century. I want to make the nearst inputs for my models, but I don't have the real thermal property of materials or construction elements. There is any experiment i can perform to define some of these properties?

With a bulb thermometer and a contact thermometer, it can be measured indoor, outdoor and indoor surface temperatures. From this, you can determine the thermal resistance of the entire construction element. If it is formed from one layer, you have to measure the thicknes an obtain thermal conductivity of the material. If there are several layers, the intermediate temperatures can be determined, for each layer.
