Although Consequentialism and Deontology differ greatly, they both focus on conduct. The former on identifying the conduct which maximizes happiness and the latter on identifying the conduct which duty prescribes. Virtue ethics does not focus specifically on conduct so much as it stresses acting in such a way as to be a person of virtue. In the real world which one of these two paths is better suited to help a person navigate their way through tough ethical choices and dilemmas?
