To find E in RF ablation using EM Low-Frequency solver, an Electro QuasiStatic approximation can be used;
∇⋅ϵ~∇ϕ=0, Electro QuasiStatic ... (1)
ϵ~ := ϵrϵ0 + σjω
ϵ~; is the complex permittivity.
In Ref. [1] and [2], the E is found using the E-QS approximation too, but using Laplace equation:
∇⋅σ∇ϕ=0, Stationary Currents ... (2)
Eq. (2) is approximated when σ≫ωϵ. I guess, for the RF ablation modeling, [1] and [2] should use Eq. (1), not Eq. (2).
Any one can explain this confusion? please
