Hello Farangis. I mainly use the idea of the 'feedback sandwich' - ie Praise for a positive element of the response in relation to the assessment criteria; then areas for development or things that I would have liked to seen further developed; and then also finish on a positive e.g. specific encouragement for the next assignment. I teach teachers and in the context of working with primary children, the idea of the feedback sandwich has been compressed into the catchy 'Two Stars and a Wish'! A popular characterisation here:
I prefer explicit corrective feedback technique. Usually when students make mistakes I often tend to immediately correct them. Otherwise, students will continue making the same errors continuously and those errors will fossilize or will remain forever.
