They are generally easy to fabricate . Are you sure that option is not available for you? If you are making something like an electrochemical MIP , you do not even need to have a complex lab setup.

Abdulaziz Zamkah Sure. It depends on your final application too to some extent. Generally, for electrochemical MIPs, depending on your analyte, yopu can choose electropolymerizable monomers such as dopamine, scopoletin, orthophenylene diamine, etc. Depending on your template molecule, you can either add it to the monomer mixture or immobilize it on the surface prior to polymerization (What i did in Article Cancer biomarker detection in human serum samples using nano...
) Finally you can remove the template by several methods such as electroxidation, chemical cleavage by incubation, etc. You can also develop nanoMIP which are generally reusable (Chapter Applications of Molecularly Imprinted Nanostructures in Bios...
