Hi,
I am extracting RNA from animal tissue (Oyster). In my lab, I have two types of chloroform. One is 1-bromo-3-chloropropane (less toxic), and the other is Chloroform (Methylidyne trichloride, Trichloromethane). I wonder which one would be best for separating nucleic acid and have less chance of contamination of DNA with RNA.
Could you please help by providing me with the answer????
Regards,
Zafar
