Most of the researchers following the book written by Prof. Kothari, in India, we need the book related to research in semantic web filed especially the methodology used ...
I discovered your question a little bit late but I guess it's never too late to answer. I would recommend A Semantic Web Primer by Antoniou et al. as a starting point (https://mitpress.mit.edu/books/semantic-web-primer-0). Then, it depends on the specific subfield of Semantic Web that you are conducting research on. For example, in my case I did research on Semantic Web Services and back then I relied a lot on the book Semantic Web Services: Concepts, Technologies and Applications by Studer et al. (http://www.springer.com/gb/book/9783540708933). Which subfield of Semantic Web are you conducting research on?
Hello there! Although it's a rather old book on the topic (dating back to 2009), I particularly liked "Semantic Web Programming" from Wiley. It has a very "hands-on" approach to related technologies, with lots of programming examples and snippets of code.
