In many research articles and thesis etc, the term bibliography and reference has been used, some researchers use bibliography and some use reference. Since this confuse researchers, I would like to obtain clarifications on these two terms from the experts in the field.

Yes , There are differences between bibliography and reference, if you used term of bibliography, you can keep your cited material as well as non cited material in your references list , however if used term of reference , you must keep only your cited materiel at the references list.
