Before the Corona pandemic, agriculture sector in India contributed around 15 percent to the total GDP growth. In the present scenario, service and industrial sectors are bound to pull down the GDP growth. There has been movement of labourers from City to village, making their greater availability for agricultural works. Expecting continued policy support, agricultural growth is likely to increase. It is therefore imperative to assess whether agriculture in India is robust enough to minimize the expected decline in GDP?
