Hello everyone,

I have a question about oxygen atom produced in the CO2 hydrogenation over Cu/ZnO catalyst. Many researcher were saying Oxygen atoms were continuously produced in the reaction process

over Cu/ZnO, resulting in an intensive oxidation of copper.

Can someone tell me where is the oxygen atom mainly from? From the CO2? Or the intermediates? Such as HCOO, HCOOH or H2CO?

Thanks!
