A google search and attempts to order through a Veterinarian have failed to help me so far. I wondered if anyone can advise me of a supplier here in Australia or am I best to just buy the ingredients and make it myself?

Dear Thomas, I recommend just buying the reagents yourself and making the solution. It only lasts about a week anyhow and all the ingredients are cheap. Our favorite recipe is the classic from Wright (2006):
Amphibian Ringer’s Solution at osmolarity 200–250 mOsm/L
6.6 g NaCl (can be a little less)
0.15 g KCl (can be more)
0.15 g CaCl2 (can be more)
0.2 g NaHCO3
Add everything and fill up to volume of 1 L with distilled water. It can last about a week – maybe longer if you autoclave everything or have an amazingly clean lab. Some folks put in ~10g glucose too, but that will shorten shelf life. It might be cloudy when you first make it or take it out of the fridge. Don't worry about that. But watch out for any yellow or greenish tinge!
