I am hoping to get most updated infos about data on deaf federal workers/employees that got hired, got rejected, sued/cases against federal agencies for violated ADA rights and more. Thank you
Depends on your country (not stated). Is there such a thing as Freedom of Information legislation in your jurisdiction? You will need to expand your understanding and definition of “deaf”. Means many different things to many different people....
Jonathan David Binnington oh I am sorry my country is United States of America. The range of deaf can be from mild to severe loss. Can be from birth, illnesses, and/or loss when older etc anything .
I suggest first finding out whst data is collected and how you might access it, then considering what gaps exist. “Deaf” has many diffrent meanings, the convention is individuals “self-classify” which means many people with a sensory impairment, disability and handicap may choose not to self identify as having a hearing condition.
The largest groups will be individuals with age-related hearing conditions followed by those with NIHL (i guess), compounded by economic barriers to accessing habilitation services. In comparisoonthise with life-long and severe to profound hearing losses will figure much less.
Jonathan David Binnington yes I am aware that there are ranges for deaf because I am deaf myself. I am just trying to find good sources to use and apply on my capstone paper. Thank you very much!!
