The National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) run the Global Forecast System (GFS) model four times daily. The GRIB files of the real-time data are downloadable from many sources. To have spacial and temporal down-scaled data you can use WRF model (with real configuration) focused on your desired region with any resolution.

Masoud Rostami Thank you very much for the detailed information and quick response. I have had a look at the WRF model and WPS and it definitely seems like the best solution. Steep learning curve though as i'm not a meteorologist.

Will watch some tutorials and hopefully figure it all out.

Using WRF indeed means an extremely steep learning curve. The result should be OK for T and RH, but NOT for radiation, because cloudiness characteristics and short-term variability are still not adequately modeled in WRF. If radiation is critical, you should rather use the CAMS service, since the results are lready calculated for you to 1-min resolution, and freely available at

Chris Gueymard Thank you very much for the heads up and info. I do not require radiation critically mainly T and RH for calculating Wet bulb Temp. Been making slow progress with WRF. Hopefully it works out.
