Hi there,
I'm looking for forest vector data at a ~1:250K resolution for Alaska. I've searched many places, and I hoped that VMap1 data could do it, but Alaska doesn't seem not fully covered. Even contacting the State's forest service didn't really help.
So, does anyone know if such dataset exists, is fairly recent, and where I can download it?

I didn't think of this dataset, as I was too focus on finding a vector dataset. But I'm afraid I won't really have a choice.

François-Nicolas Robinne I recommend the NLCD, too. However, if you really need a raster dataset to be in vector format, consider using the ArcGIS conversion tool:
