Any ideas for Magnetite green synthesis without using corrosive or irritant powders?

If you can't buy it, maybe can you synthetize it ?

Thanks, I was just trying to avoid the use of FeCl3 or FeCl2 because when you look on the MSDS sheets it says they are corrosive and one needs to be very carefully with skin exposure to the particles. I will wear gloves but if I make a mistake I don't want to endanger myself or others due to being a little clumsy or an accident happening.  So I am not sure how to do it. The only other safer solution is going to the beach with a magnet and collecting magnetite particles from the beach.

I am wondering is there a non corrosive Fe precursor which will can be used to make magnetite nanoparticles, despite being green synthesis, most papers don't note that 1) FeCl3 in the data sheets is a  corrosive powder and one needs a lot of care and 2) they use NaOH to increase the PH which again should not be put in contact with the skin.

I am just thinking regarding my history of making the odd mistake or despite my efforts causing problems.

Plus I am not a chemist, I am a physicist so I have little chemistry knowledge and synthesis experience.

Oh ok ! As you did well, you have to know the risk of the product that you are using: true. But you have to know also the good practice of use for each.

As you are not a chemist and selfconfident about,  I can only advice you to contact a chemist (in your relation) which can help you to do the synthesis at the begin (adaptation time) and then you will be on your own.  

But believe me, at the moment you are dropping NaOH on your glove or some metal particles then just take of your gloves, throw it, wash your hand. And take an other pair of glove. Not a big deal ! Plus, you wear a lab coat and lab glass. 

Some products are more toxic and dangerous than that believe me.

thanks :-) I am thinking it would be a good idea to use low alkaline materials to reduce the risk even further, hopefully if the reaction needs one it will be good enough.
