Irakian civilization is 5000 years old. I'm sure US soldiers did not managed to sack all of your past. There's plenty of deeply buried light, such as Ibn Al-Haytham (Basora, 11c AC), almost totally forgotten (but by Newton), never published, never studied. The really good news in 2018 is that whole bunch of Irakian scientists with an English high-level, devoured by curiosity.
As for an answer to the question we do see on daily bases that it iraqi local identity takes several hits from a number of our architects or our real-estate benficials who’s incharge of the designs approval and whoever have the final say about what a building would look like .. that’s specifically for architecture let alone fine-art and what goes around it .. thank you
