Retractile testis is not a disease but a developmental phase, which should be accurately differentiated from ectopic parascrotal testis. Hormonal therapy is useless in true undescended testis that should be approached solely with orchiopexy. Surgery should be sheduled between 9 and 12 months of age in case of true undescended testis. Timing is more flexile in case of ectopic testis.
