We can consider different distributed generation sources for hybrid power generation. For example, Wind, Solar, Microturbine, Fuel Cells etc. While simulating the dynamic models and considering loads into a/c, we might come to some conclusions like, if the velocity of wind increases, the fuel demand for microturbine decreases so that we can save money at this point. Similarly, the hybrid power generation and interconnection will gives us a proper insight of different parameters like optimal load flow, reducing generation costs etc.
But for generation of power with biomass, we've already got adequate amount of small gasifier systems developed in the range of range of 3kw to 500kw in our india. There are about 12 gasifier manufacturers in our country now. MNRE released some reports that they have successfully installed biogas operated microturbines for 2x30 KW power generation for the rural electrification program in some places of west bengal.
